PointerHome Information Packs(HIPs)

The present Government is committed to the introduction of Home Information Packs (or HIP's or seller’s packs as they are often referred to) for residential properties being placed on the market for sale after 1 August 2007. This will be introduced on a phased basis starting with properties of 4 bedrooms or more. As from 1st September 2007 this was extended to include 3 bedroom properties.

The Government has announced the full roll-out of Home Information Packs (HIPs)to all properties marketed for sale in England and Wales from 14 December 2007. This means that all properties placed on the market for sale after that date will require a Home Information Pack (HIP) whatever their size or number of bedrooms.

It is a requirement for the person responsible for marketing the property to ensure that a HIP is in place before the property is marketed for sale.

At HomePlus™, we have. recognised the need to prepare for HIPs if we are to continue to be able to meet the needs of our clients and introducers.

HomePlus™ is supported by Lees Lloyd Whitley, one of the largest conveyancing solicitors in the North West providing a full range of conveyancing services.

So why should you consider taking a HIP with HomePlus™?

• HIPs contain a large amount of complex, legal information which solicitors are best placed to prepare and interpret

We hope to continue to support the Government throughout the Dry-run.
