Martin was educated at St.Anselms College, Birkenhead, Wirral

He attended Liverpool Polytechnic in the late 1970`s and received BA(HONS)Law

He was articled to David Thomas and a former past president of the Liverpool Law Society and Banking Ombudsman

He qualified in 1980 with the firm F.S.Moore and Price which after a number of amalgamations and demergers became known as Lees Lloyd Whitley.

Martin became a partner of Lees Lloyd Whitley in the 1980`s

He has always been a property lawyer and became Head of the Property Dept in 2002

He is married with 2 daughters. One is studying at Leeds University. The other is hoping to go to University soon.

He has keen interest in sport, plays cricket and golf and a keen Everton Supporter
