Joanne Ettinger is an Associate and Head of the
Corporate and Individual Recovery Team which is
based in the Firm’s Liverpool office. Joanne
specialises in contentious insolvency work and has
over seven years experience dealing exclusively
in insolvency law and advises both Insolvency Practitioners,
Accountants and Company Directors.
Joanne was educated at King David High School in
South Liverpool, after which she went on to attain
an Honours Degree in Psychology at the University
College of London in 1992. Joanne then returned
to the North West in order to attend at the College
of Law in Chester, where she completed the Common
Professional Examination and the Legal Practice
course. She completed her training at the local
firm of Silverbeck Rymer where she qualified as
a solicitor in 1998 and then went on to join the
specialist Insolvency Department at DLA in Liverpool
before joining Lees Lloyd Whitley as an Associate
Solicitor, in the summer of 2000.
Joanne became a partner in May 2006.
Joanne has experience of advising in both individual
and corporate insolvency matters including Bankruptcies,
Liquidations, Administrations, Receiverships and
Individual and Company Voluntary Arrangements. In
addition, she also has experience of general commercial
litigation matters.
Joanne is a member of R3 and the Insolvency Lawyers’
Association.
Joanne married with one son and lives in Allerton.
Her interests include music, yoga and fashion and
is a keen supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
She is also the Chairperson of the Lees Lloyd Whitley
Staff and Social Committee.
