Mark was educated at Sandbach School after which
he attained an Honours Law degree at the University
of Liverpool. Mark qualified as a Solicitor in 1985
with Edward Lloyd & Company one of the original
constituent practices of Lees Lloyd Whitley.
After qualification, Mark spent two years as an
in house lawyer with Barclays Bank plc based at
the Barclaycard headquarters in Northampton. During
this time, he specialised in both secured and unsecured
recoveries in connection with Consumer and Commercial
lending. In 1988, he returned to the North West
as Head of Debt Recovery with Eversheds, working
in their Warrington, Manchester and Leeds offices
before joining Lees Lloyd Whitley in 1996 and becoming
a partner in 1998.
Mark continues to be responsible for the Public
and Private Sector Debt Recovery department at Lees
Lloyd Whitley as well as now enjoying an expanded
role giving him management responsibility to oversee
the Litigation and Insolvency teams.
Mark is a member of the Institute of Credit Management
and the Insolvency Lawyers Association.
Married with one daughter, what little free time
he has left is then devoted to travel, golf, football,
photography and music.
