Frank graduated in Law at Leeds University in 1974
before completing his Training with Edward Lloyd
& Co and qualified as a Solicitor in 1977. He
became a Partner in 1979 and was instrumental in
facilitating the merger in 1988 which saw the launch
of Lees Lloyd Whitley.
He has been the Head of the Personal Injury Department
since 1996 and a Member of the Law Society’s
Personal Injury Panel since 1995 having also previously
been a Panel Member for AVMA (Action for Victims
of Medical Accidents).
Since 1992 he has specialised in Personal Injury
Litigation for lead client the POA (previously known
as the Prison Officers’ Association) having
worked for their Members on a regional basis since
1975. Frank has, since 1996 developed specialist
expertise in the area of work related stress claims
succeeding with several claims against the Home
Office in ground breaking decisions. He has lectured
on this topic at Manchester University and at the
2004 Eurofedop Conference in Dublin.
Frank is a Member of the Firm’s Management
Committee with particular responsibility for Human
Resources working closely with our HR Director,
Chris Blackburne.
Married with 5 sons Frank lives in West Kirby and
is a keen Liverpool supporter. When work allows
him to he likes nothing more than to travel to Italy
where he has long standing friends in a village
south of Naples. His limited ability to speak Italian
is tested by their use of local dialect! A keen
reader of political biographies he enjoys walks
in the countryside with his Golden Retriever.
