David is the Firm’s Commercial
Property Partner specialising in all aspects of property
work with particular emphasis on retail and industrial
development. David is one of the founding partners
of Lees Lloyd Whitley having previously been a partner
in Whitley and Co, since 1978.
David is a former pupil of Birkenhead School and studied
Law at London University before qualifying as a Solicitor
in 1976.
David’s expertise in the field of property
work has given rise to a substantial following of
commercial property clients throughout the business
sector, both locally in the north west, and nationally.
His client base includes many small businesses and
developers but also extends to Companies at the
top end of the SME market with turnovers in the
region of £20 million per annum.
David has a particular expertise in the regeneration
and redevelopment of former redundant inner city
sites for both commercial and residential purposes.
His client base also includes businesses with multiple
outlets in the retail and childcare sectors.
On the residential side, David has a particular
expertise in the field of leasehold work and the
publicly funded housing sector.
David is married and lives on the Wirral. His interests
include all things marine.
