Major manoeuvres into Lees Lloyd Whitley

Stephen Evans has joined Merseyside law firm Lees Lloyd Whitley as an Associate and Deputy Team Leader working on complex, high value personal injury cases for the Prison Officer’s Association.

A Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEx) since 1993, Stephen has since obtained an Llb(Hons) law degree after studying part time at Liverpool John Moores University. Previously, Stephen has worked for local firm Lloyd Lee Dures and the Liverpool office of the national defendant firm Berrymans Lace Mawer, where he gained experience of defending personal injury cases.

Stephen, 38, is also a Major in the Territorial Army and only recently returned from an eight-month tour of duty in Bosnia and Kosovo with the British Army, where he served, double-hatted, as Squadron Second-in-Command and Ops Officer of a regular army Royal Signals Squadron.

Originally from West Derby in Liverpool, he now lives with his wife Paula, a solicitor, and their five month old son, Finn, in Port Sunlight. When he is not involved with the TA, Stephen is chairman of a local judo club which combines working with the fully able, disabled and partially sighted and also enjoys hill walking and scrambling.

Partner Frank Rogers, who heads the firm’s personal injury team, says: “Stephen’s extensive experience of having worked both for defendant and claimant will help to strengthen our team. He has a wide range of qualities and strengths and I was delighted when he agreed to join us”
